Who writes this
Georgia Travel Journal is a small independent site about travelling Georgia on your own. Everything here is written from actual trips: the bus timings are the ones we took, the guesthouse prices are what we paid, the trails are the ones we walked.
We are not a tour company and we do not sell tours. The site earns nothing from the places it recommends. The only thing we ask for is an email address if you want a route plan as a PDF, and we use it only to send that one file.
What you will find here
Solo routes that work without a car or a guide, honest notes on safety and cost for one person, and the parts of Georgia that group tours skip: the coastal bogs, the Borjomi forests, the Svan valleys.
